Hello and welcome to my blog, glad you were able to drop by! My name is Geoff and I am a young international development professional and this blog will help tell my story while I am on a placement with Arup, EWB, and RedR in Cusco, Peru.

So what exactly will I be doing you ask? Well I am here to help the Latin American Foundation for the Future’s (LAFF) partner organisations (Casa Mantay, Azul Wasi, and Sacred Valley Project) find sustainable solutions to their energy needs. First, I will conduct feasibility studies for each site based on their needs and then complete the technical designs. If there is time before I head back to the UK I will also help secure funding for their implementation (though my return to the UK does not mean I will not also help with fundraising).

During my time with LAFF I will also be working with the social entrepreneurship organisation Buen Power Peru and will be working out of their offices. It is not clear at this time what I will be helping with but once I know more I will update the blog.
